And it's Danny and Sam! First time drawing these two in quite a while.
I used to watch Danny Phantom as often as it was on. I loved the humor, the action, and of course Danny and Sam's tentative 'I-like-you-do-you-like-me?' relationship running through the entire thing. And then came ' Phantom Planet '. I suppose I should be happy that the series got a proper ending, but I'm not. The mega-happy ending of ' Phantom Planet ' rang hollow to me and left a bitter taste behind. I mean, come on writers---we're smarter than that. His parents finding out? Okay. Finally getting together with Sam? Awesome. Vlad being hit by a meteor? Also awesome. Tucker becoming mayor? Looking askance at best. Danny being capable of convincing all of the ghosts---most of whom are his nemesises--to work with him? Possible, but doubtful, even with the world in danger. The world discovering Danny's secret identity and not only accepting him but letting him alone to live peacefully? HA! And HA! again. Has Marvel's X-Men taught us nothing? But then, maybe I'm in the minority. I don't know. I just know I didn't like ' Phantom Planet ', even if it was an ending to the series, which is rare for a television series, period. |

It's a beautiful scene~ And their eyes are perfect~
I've always drawn them that way, now that I look back at my older stuff---Danny looks young, Sam looks a bit older, but not by much. Maybe a subliminal message to myself about their maturity levels...?
